9th Anniversary Screenings on Both Coasts

Another anniversary of that terrible day is upon us, and there will be screenings of 'Press For Truth' in New York City and San Francisco.

In Frisco, 'PFT' will kick off the 6th Annual 9/11 Film Festival, co-sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Guardian, tonight at 7:00PM at VIZ Cinema, the 143-seat theater at the shopping and entertainment center in the heart of Japantown. 1746 Post Street. Tickets are $10.

On Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1:00PM, the historic Bal Theatre in the East Bay, closed in 2005 and only recently renovated and reopened, will screen 'PFT' at 1:00PM. 14808 E. 14th St., San Leandro. Tickets are $10.

If you can hang out for a while after the movie, be sure to listen to our friend Mickey Huff from the great Project Censored speaking at 6:00PM. You won't regret it. And on Sunday you can catch 'Press For Truth' back at the VIZ again at 1:45PM.

If you live in New York, please come to the free public screening tonight at 7:30PM at the famous Jivamukti Yoga Center at 841 Broadway, 2nd floor, in Manhattan. 9/11 first responder and health advocate Ken George will speak before the movie about the important efforts of the FealGood Foundation in advocating for first responders dealing with the catastrophic health effects resulting from their heroic work at Ground Zero.

Jivamukti is the largest yoga center in the nation and has been educating the public for more than twenty years about issues of truth, justice, and peace. Thanks to Satyavira Matthew Lombardo for organizing this screening! Be sure to also attend Matt's open yoga class the next morning, Saturday, September 11th at 11:00AM, where donations will go to the FealGood Foundation.
